Rudie Edwards hails from Dover and arrives via the somewhat infamous BRIT School, and – after a few years of writing songs for others, including Cee Lo Green – has released her second single ahead of an EP due later this year.
Lover Like You is an infectiously catchy disco pop track that immediately grabs you with its gripping bass and 80’s style production.
Rudie Edwards obviously possesses a cracking voice, but in Lover Like You it’s all about control; she’s controlling her passion and what she wants, and that control is mirrored in the vocal delivery.
